All 34 regular season games to air this season
MADISON, Wis. – All 34 regular season games for Wisconsin women's hockey this season will be broadcast by iHeartMedia, as announced by the two organizations on Thursday.
This marks the first time in program history that all regular season and postseason contests will be carried on the radio.
Legendary hockey announcer Paul Braun, who joined the broadcast halfway through last season, will return to call play-by-play. Braun is best known for being the voice of Wisconsin men's hockey for more than 40 years. After a break from the booth, Braun returned to broadcasting last year, broadcasting the UW men's hockey game against Penn State before joining the women's hockey broadcast for the remainder of the season.
UW goaltender coach Mark Greenhalgh, who has been a part of UW's roadio team since 2015, will also call home games and postseason games this year. Greenhalgh brings extensive experience to the booth, having coached numerous Olympic goaltenders.
Braun and Greenhalgh will also be joined this season by Zach Sielaff, who will handle pre-game, intermission, and post-game shows.
A majority of the Badgers games, including this weekend's season-opening series against Lindenwood, will be carried on WTSO 1070 AM in the Madison area. It can also be heard online through the iHeart App.
The complete schedule will be released in the coming weeks once all winter sport game times are finalized.
