No. 10 Wisconsin wins at No. 16 Kentucky for fifth straight victory
September 06, 2024 | Men's Soccer
Badgers at 5-0-0 with their first ranked and road win
How it happened
Defenses took charge early in the game. Both teams defended fiercely, and despite some threatening opportunities for the Badgers, both teams went into the half with no shots on goal.Â
Dean Boltz almost gave the Badgers the lead in the 75th minute on a header from a set piece but was ruled offside by officials.Â
Â
75' | Boltz finds the back of the net but it's ruled offside and confirmed offside after a video review. Great execution and idea on the set piece to get the ball in, though. We keep pushing.

Glorioso finally broke through the Wildcats' defense in the 78th minute. Trip Fleming's dangerous cross into the box bounced off a couple of defenders and the Kentucky goaltender, allowing Glorioso to drill it into the back of the net.Â
Â
78' | WHAT A GLORIOUS TIME TO SCORE HIS FIRST AS A BADGER. Noah Glorioso finds the back of the net as the Wildcats struggled to handle a dangerous cross into the box. We take the lead with 12 minutes to play.

With 12 minutes left to play, the Badgers returned to completing the shutout with some stellar defense and goaltending. Goaltender Matisse Hébert stopped a couple of dangerous opportunities from Kentucky in the final minutes to close out the Wisconsin victory.
Â
83' | MATISSE SAYS NO. What a save to keep Kentucky off the scoreboard as we fight to close out this game. Just seven minutes to play in Lexington.
