Laatsch sidelined due to injury

Senior alternate captain and defenseman will miss rest of the season
MADISON, Wis. – Senior defenseman Daniel Laatsch, an Altoona, Wisconsin, native, will miss the rest of the season and end his career on the ice at Wisconsin, after undergoing injury.
One of Wisconsin's alternate captains, Laatsch owns two goals and five points in 22 games this season. Both of Laatsch's goals won overtime games for the Badgers, with scores against Lindenwood and at Penn State.
A 2021 seventh-round draft pick of the Pittsburgh Penguins, he boasts six goals and 20 assists for 26 points in 126 career games for the Badgers. Four of his six goals are game-winning tallies.
