
Quest and Simon Named Gatorade Players of the Year

Incoming volleyball freshman earn top honor
MADISON, Wis. – Incoming volleyball freshman Kristen Simon and Madison Quest were named Gatorade Players of the Year from their respective states, announced Thursday by Gatorade.
Kristen Simon of Assumption High School in Kentucky is the fourteenth Gatorade Kentucky Volleyball Player of the Year to be chosen from Assumption High School. Incoming outside hitter, Madison Quest is the first from Divine Savior Holy Angeles (DSHA) High School in Wisconsin to earn the prestigious honor.
Simon, a 5-foot-8 libero totaled 464 digs her senior season, and helped lead the Rockets to a 35-8 record and State title. Simon is ranked No. 22 by national MaxPreps Top 25, and No. 19 in her class by PrepVolleyball. She added 59 service aces, 28 assists, and was named KVCA Defensive Player of the Year as well.
Quest, now a two-time Gatorade winner, led DSHA to a third-straight Division I State Championship with an overall record of 47-1. She amassed 504 kills, 254 digs, and 84 blocks, while posting a .366 hitting percentage as a senior. The 6-foot-3 outside hitter is ranked as the nation's No. 13 recruit in the Class of 2025 by PrepDig.
