Zachemski scores, Wisconsin shuts out Ohio State on the road
COLUMBUS, Ohio. - The Wisconsin men's soccer team picked up its first Big Ten win of the season, shutting out Ohio State (5-5-0, 2-2-0 Big Ten), 1-0, on the road Friday night. The Badgers (3-5-0, 1-3-0 Big Ten) took the lead early and held off the Buckeyes to secure the victory.
How It Happened:
Sophomore Matthew Zachemski gave the Badgers an early lead, scoring his third goal of the season in the seventh minute on a beautiful strike. Zachemski and Gianluca Del Priore capitalized on a two-on-one situation for what would be the game's only goal.Â

Ohio State applied pressure throughout the match, outshooting Wisconsin 24-7 (8-3 on goal), but couldn't find the back of the net. Sophomore goalkeeper Matisse Hébert made a season-high eight saves, including several in the final 10 minutes, to preserve the Wisconsin shutout.
