Booth, Colyer, Fuerbringer earn First Team honors
2025 ALL-BIG TEN POSTSEASON HONORS LIST
MADISON, Wis. – Carter Booth, Mimi Colyer and Charlie Fuerbringer of the Wisconsin volleyball team have been named to the 2025 All-Big Ten First Team, while freshman Kristen Simon earned All-Freshman honors, announced by the conference Tuesday afternoon.
Outside hitter Mimi Colyer picks up All-Big Ten First Team honors in back-to-back years, where previously earned at Oregon in 2024. This season alone, Colyer picked up the most of any player in the Big Ten, with five Big Ten Player of the Week awards. The California natives five Big Ten weekly awards ties Sydney Hilley (2021) in program history for most honors in a single season.
In the regular season, Colyer averaged 5.32 kills per set, 2.20 digs per set, 5.93 points per set, had a .334 hitting percentage, and chipped in with 0.69 blocks per set. Colyer's kills per set and points per set ranked third in the NCAA and second in the Big Ten.
In 28 matches, the 6-foot-3 outside hitter totaled double-figure kills in every match but one and is currently on a 15-match streak with double-digit kill totals. She also totaled 10 matches with 20 or more kills, including a season-best 27 against Florida on Sept. 21. Defensively, with an average of 2.20 digs per set, Colyer had seven double-doubles on the season (kills, digs), including 12 digs against Northwestern on Nov. 26 to reach a career 1,000 digs.
With her second All-Big Ten First Team honor, senior Carter Booth has now achieved conference honors in each of her four collegiate seasons. Booth earned First Team honors previously in 2022 and 2023, and Second Team honors in 2024. On Sept. 22, the Colorado native earned Big Ten Defensive of the Week honors as well.
Booth swung a .436 clip to lead the team, averaged 2.02 kills per set, and added 2.70 points per set. Her hitting percentage ranked ninth in the NCAA and second in conference play. Defensively, Booth totaled 113.0 blocks, including 11 solo blocks for an average of 1.24 blocks per set. On Nov. 14 against Michigan State, Booth totaled 10 blocks to set a season-high.
The numbers spoke for themselves because despite missing 10 Big Ten matches, setter Charlie Fuerbringer earned All-Big Ten First Team honors. Fuerbringer adds to her resume from 2024 where she was named Second Team all-conference and named to the All-Freshman team as well.
In 32 sets of conference play, Fuerbringer slashed 12.31 assists per set, 2.41 digs per set, 0.75 kills per set and added 0.69 blocks per set. She also achieved two double-doubles (assists, digs). Against Purdue, Fuerbringer set one of her best matches with 49 assists on 76 attempts for a .645 setting percentage, while leading the Badgers to a conference season best, .510 hitting percentage in a sweep over the Boilermakers.
Libero Kristen Simon made an instant impact on floor for the Badgers this season. Simon totaled 311 digs in the regular season and is on pace to enter the Top 5 for most digs in program history for a single season by a freshman. The Kentucky native averaged 3.49 digs per set and reached double-figure dig totals in 19 matches, including a consecutive streak of 13 from Sept. 28 to Nov. 9.
The 5-foot-8 libero also collected a double-double (digs, assists) in her first-collegiate match against Kansas on Aug. 28 where she totaled a season-best 23 digs and 10 assists.
Middle blocker Alicia Andrew was named the Badgers Sportsmanship honoree to conclude this season's All-Big Ten honors.
