
Harvey earns second WCHA Defender of the Month award this season

Badger captain led all WCHA skaters with 20 points in November
MADISON, Wis. - Wisconsin women's hockey captain Caroline Harvey was named WCHA Defender of the Month for November, the conference announced on Wednesday. This is the second consecutive WCHA Defender of the Month award for Harvey, who was also named WCHA Defender of the Week on Monday.
Captaining the No. 1 Badgers to a 6-0-1 record in the month, Harvey led all Division I skaters with 20 points in November, posting four goals with a whopping 16 assists. Notable performances included a one goal, two assist outing in a win against No. 3 Minnesota, two goals and an assist against No. 1 St. Cloud State, and a four-point performance against.Â
Harvey has won WCHA Defender of the Month seven times in her career now, previously winning in Sept. 2023, Dec. 2023, Oct. 2024, Nov. 2024, Feb. 2025, and last month Oct. 2025.
Against Mercyhurst on Nov. 29, Harvey eclipsed 168 career points, surpassing Ronda Curtin as the WCHA's all-time defensive point scorer.
The senior defender represented Team USA at the 2025 Rivalry Series against Team Canada in early November, along with nine other Badgers - Lacey Eden, Laila Edwards, Ava McNaughton, Kirsten Simms, Hilary Knight, Britta Curl-Salemme, Jesse Compher, Casey O'Brien and Anna Wilgren. The teams conclude their series on December 10 and 13 in Edmonton.
Harvey and the Badgers next take on No. 2 Ohio State this Friday and Saturday, Dec. 5 and 6.
