NOTRE DAME, Ind. – The Wisconsin track and field team earned three top-3 finishes at the Alex Wilson Invitational, highlighted by a standout performance by the men's distance medley relay team that earned a win.
In the men's distance medley relay, the team of
Andrew Casey,
Jalen Williams,
Patrick Hilby and
Adam Spencer claimed first place with a remarkable time of 9:20.15. This performance not only secured the second-fastest time in Wisconsin history but also ranks 11th in NCAA history.
In the women's mile, Leane Willemse earned a third-place finish with a personal best of 4:42.68, while
Kylie Finger followed closely behind in sixth place, crossing the line with a personal best of 4:44.61.
Rounding out the Badgers weekend of competition, freshman
Emma Kruse finished third in with a time of 2:09.94.
Up Next: Wisconsin heads to the Indiana State Fairgrounds in Indianapolis for the Big Ten Indoor Championships on Friday, Feb. 28 and Saturday, March 1.
