MADISON, Wis. – The Wisconsin cross country teams and eight individual student-athletes have been recognized for their academic achievements by the U.S. Track & Field and Cross Country Association (USTFCCCA), as announced last Friday.
The Badgers secured the USTFCCCA All-Academic Team honor with an exemplary 3.51 cumulative GPA for the women and 3.26 cumulative GPA for the men under the guidance of Head Coach Mick Bryne. To qualify, teams must hold a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.0 on a 4.0 scale.
Eight Badgers were named USTFCCCA All-Academic Athletes, an honor bestowed upon student-athletes who main a cumulative GPA of at least 3.30 and finish in the top 25 percent of their respective regional.
