CHICAGO - The Wisconsin women's track and field team made their way back to Gately Stadium in Chicago to compete in the DePaul Invite, where they found success in preparation for the second half of the indoor track and field season.
The throwers continued to shine in the Windy City, as Chloe Lindeman paced the unit with a heave of 73 feet, 11 inches (22.53m) (73-11) to finish in second place in the weight throw. Taylor Kesner, Chikere Oduocha and Danni Langseth all rounded out the top-5 for the Badgers in the event.
Langseth followed it up with an individual victory in shot put, marking a toss of 53-0 (16.15m) while defeating 15 other opponents. Hadley Lucas put together her best performance of the season, earning third place with a mark of 49-5 ½ (15.07m), ranking her at No. 86 in the nation.
Karina Janik earned fourth place in the 400 meters with a time of 58.27 seconds, marking the second time she has ran in the event this season.
Rachel Robinson excelled in the 60 Meter dash, placing third with a sprint of 7.71 seconds. To complete the day, Kylie Finger earned a top-5 finish in the mile, turning in her second quickest time of the season at 4:48.62.
