Spencer, Hoare go 2-3 at Australian National Championship

Badger senior clocks fourth-fastest 1500 meters in NCAA this season
PERTH, Australia – Current Wisconsin men's track and field standout Adam Spencer and Badger legend Olli Hoare both earned podium finishes in the 1500 meters at the 2025 Australian National Championships on Saturday.
Spencer stopped the clock in 3 minutes, 34.57 seconds to finish second in the final. The 2024 Olympian's time is the fourth-fastest time in the NCAA this season.
A two-time Olympian for Australia, Hoare took third in 3:34.61 while Cam Myers won the title in 3:34.39.
Spencer and Hoare weren't the only Badgers racing in Australia as former UW star Jackson Sharp will compete in the 5000 meters on Sunday.
