Badgers wrap up week of action at Bryan Clay Invitational

UW earns multiple personal bests in 1500 meters

AZUSA, Calif. – The Wisconsin track and field team wrapped up its week at the Bryan Clay Invitational, highlighted by multiple personal bests in the 1500 meters on day three out in California.

On the women's side, Kylie Finger and Mya Bunke each competed in the invite section of the 1500 meters. Bunke continued to put together a quality outdoor campaign, as the Slinger native notched another personal best with a time of four minutes, 21.65 seconds. She placed ninth in her heat, while Finger finished with a mark of 4:21.39 to take third in her section.

Emma Kruse placed second in her heat in the open section of the 1500 meters—covering the distance in 4:28.39.

In the men's 1500 meters Invite, the Badgers turned in a solid set of performances across multiple heats. Bryce Stachewicz led the way with a top-five finish in Heat Five, clocking in at 3:42.49 to take fourth.

Archie Noakes snagged a top-10 finish in Heat Ten, finishing ninth with a time of 3:47.45, while senior Pierce Seigne recorded a time of 3:49.60.

Up Next: The Badgers take on their busiest weekend of the season, as they are set to compete in four meets at multiple sites. The weekend is highlighted by individual athletes taking on the annual Penn Relays and the Drake Relays, as UW will be at meets from Wednesday, Apr. 23 and Saturday, Apr. 26.
