EUGENE, Ore. - The Wisconsin women's track and field team completed the Big Ten Outdoor Championships with another bronze finisher, this time with the help of
Emma Kelley in the 800 meters.
USC went on to win the team championship with 121 points, while the Badgers finished in 11th with 25 points.
Kelley races to bronze in 800 meters
Emma Kelley continued her strong surge in the middle distance, as the native of St. Louis, Missouri, cruised to a third-place finish with a time of two minutes, 4.71 seconds.
Kelley held strong at the top of the pack throughout the entirety of the race—earning six points for Wisconsin and a bronze medal by the event's conclusion.
Kesner takes sixth in javelin
Taylor Kesner wrapped up her performances at the Big Ten Outdoor Championships by tallying three more points for the Badgers' program, this time in the javelin.
After snagging bronze in the discus yesterday, Kesner followed it up with a sixth-place finish in the javelin with a best toss of 163-9 (49.91m).

"The goal was to get out and get in a good position and not get boxed in, trust myself with 200 or 150 [meters] to go and just give it everything that I've got."
Up Next: Select Badgers will make their way south to compete in the NCAA West Outdoor First Round regional meet, hosted by Texas A&M in College Station, Texas. The meet is set to take place between Wednesday, May 28 and Saturday, May 31. To qualify, individuals have to be in the top-48 of their respective event—looking to punch their ticket to the NCAA Outdoor Championships, which will be hosted back at Hayward Field between Wednesday, June 11 and Saturday, June 14.
