MADISON, Wis. -- The Wisconsin women's golf team sits in seventh at +16 after round two of the Badger Invitational Monday, hosted by UW at the University-Ridge Golf Course.
Senior
Alexia Siehl led the way for Bucky, going -1 on the card. The South Carolina native laid a foundation early with a -1 bogey-free front-nine, before shooting even on the front. On the day, she jumped 22 spots up to No. 21 overall.
Kate Brody kept it rolling after a +1 (73) outing in round-one. Her three-bogey start on Monday was quickly nixed thanks to birdies on Hole 7 and 9 as the junior fired another 73. She sits in 15th with one round to play.
Lauren Sammon and
Tammy Wu rounded out the scoring for UW as Sammon sits in 29th at +5, while Wu is in 34th at +6
True freshman
Elyssa Abdullah, who's competing individually this week, had the best round of her young collegiate career, shooting +1 on the day. She climbed 20 spots to land in 34th.
The Badgers begin round three on Tuesday, teeing off in a shotgun at 9 a.m. Specific groups are still TBD.
