MADISON, Wis. - The No. 8 Wisconsin volleyball team returns to action this week for the Wisconsin Invitational, as they are set to take on a pair of non-conference opponents in UC Davis and Chicago State—making their first 2025 regular season appearance in the UW Field House.

The Badgers will battle against the Aggies on Thursday, Sept. 3 at 7:00 p.m. CT, and will host the Cougars exactly 24 hours later on Friday, Sept. 4. Each of the games will be streamed on Big Ten Plus.

Thursday's matchup against UC Davis will mark the first time that each program has faced each other. The Aggies enter the match with a 1-2 overall record, recently dropping a match to UTEP on Sunday, Aug. 31, in four sets.

On Friday, UW will take on Chicago State for just the second time in team history, as the Badgers defeated the Cougars in straight sets back in 2010 at the UW Field House.

Wisconsin is fresh off of their opening weekend of action to kick off the 2025 season, as they split a pair of matches between two top-15 programs.

Last Friday, the Badgers defeated No. 14 Kansas in five sets at the Kohl Center to begin the Opening Spike Classic. Outside hitter Mimi Colyer, who recently reached 1,500 kills in her collegiate career, provided a spark for UW on the offensive end with a team-high 26 kills to lead the way.

The Badgers wrapped up the weekend on Sunday with a three-set loss to No. 5 Texas. Redshirt sophomore Grace Egan earned 16 kills, while outside hitter Una Vajagic tallied her second double-double in as many games with 10 kills and 14 digs.
