ST. PAUL, Minn. — The No. 1 Wisconsin women's hockey team took care of St. Thomas this Friday at Lee & Penny Anderson Arena in St. Paul, beating the Tommies, 5-1.
Lacey Eden, Emma Venusio, Finley McCarthy, and Kirsten Simms all scored to secure the Badgers' 20th victory of the season.
It was a quick start for the Badgers, when defender Venusio put the Badgers on the board just 54 seconds into the first period. Venusio's long-range snipe from the blueline was her third goal of the season.

The Badgers went on the power play in the second period but were unable to capitalize. The Tommies tallied a goal with 10:28 remaining in the second period, making it 2-1.
Eden brought the lead back up to multiple goals by opening the third period with a top-shelf rocket of a goal, making it 3-1.
