Badgers prepare for second day of Indiana Invitational
BLOOMINGTON, Ind. - The Wisconsin women's track and field distance medley relay team made a strong debut on Friday night at the Indiana Invitational, as Bella Jacobsen, Eva Kuehn, Zaira Malloy-Salgado and Leane Willemse claimed first place in 11 minutes and 50.91 seconds.
Elissa Perkins set the tone at the Indiana Invitational, placing fourth in the long jump with a jump of 18 feet, 8.75 inches (5.71m).
Freshman Catalina Sanchious led the Badgers in the 60-meter finals, finishing fourth overall in 7.63 seconds. She was followed by Rachel Robinson and Luciana Azipurua.Â
Up Next: The Badgers return for day two of the Indiana Invitational beginning at 9:00 a.m. CT. Wisconsin will compete in the mile, the triple jump, the 300 meters and the 3000 meters.Â
