Badgers Close Windy City Invite with Record-Setting 4x400 Relay

Walker, Omotesa, Hilby, Williams tally second fastest 4x400 relay in UW history
CHICAGO – The Wisconsin men's track and field team wrapped up competition at the Wisconsin Windy City Invite on Saturday with a statement performance, highlighted by a dominant victory in the 4x400 meter invitational relay.
The Badgers capped the meet with a historic showing in the 4x400m invite, as Micah Walker, Zion Omotesa, Patrick Hilby and Jalen Williams raced to the win in 3:08.38. The time ranks No. 23 in the NCAA, No. 22 in Division I and moves into second all-time in Wisconsin program history.
Walker also impressed individually in the 200-meter invite, placing third in 21.34, which ranks fifth all-time in the Wisconsin record books.
Middle-distance action saw Wisconsin sweep the two top spots in the mile, led by Micah Wilson, who claimed the win in 4:07.14. Cillian Gleeson followed closely in second at 4:07.51, while Johnny Livingstone added a fourth-place finish in 4:09.02, giving the Badgers three top-four performances in the event.
In the 200-meter open, Joshua Onwunali placed fifth with a season best time of 21.55 while Farraj Al Amin and Lorenz Forsmann finished in 20th and 25th with times of 22.38 and 22.50 respectively.
Wisconsin also posted solid results in the 60-meter hurdles prelims, with Tonovila Hicks qualifying for finals after clocking 8.04. Darius Jones II finished 10th in 8.23 and Jack Schmeling placed 16th with a time of 8.96.
The Badgers rounded out the meet with a fourth-place finish in the 4x400m open, as Al Amin, Henry Risser, Andrew Casey and Forsmann combined for a time of 3:16.14.
