
Wisconsin finishes strong weekend at Windy City Invite

Elissa Perkins moves to No.3 all time in triple jump
CHICAGO – The Wisconsin women's track and field team had a successful Saturday at the fifth annual Wisconsin Windy City Invite with Elissa Perkins and Bella Jacobsen paving the way.
Perkins moved up to No. 3 in school history in the triple jump, winning the event with a mark of 41 feet 5 ¼ inches (12.63m), surpassing her prior number five spot in the record book.
Jacobsen stunned the mile finishing five seconds before anyone else, running her personal best, four minutes, 54.26 seconds. Her prior best mile was in 2023.
Sydney Robinson finished ninth in the 200 meter invite with a time of 24.91.
Freshman London Warmuth took part in the long jump, placing eighth with a jump of 5-2 ½ (1.59m).
UP NEXT: The Badger will split for three different meets next weekend. The throwers will return to Chicago next weekend for the Blue Demon Classic. The distance runners will head to Boston for the BU David Hemery Valentine Invitational and the sprinters will head down to Texas for the Texas Tech Scott Invite.
