Badger Captain honored after three-point game
MADISON, Wis - The WCHA announced this Monday that Lacey Eden won WCHA Forward of the Week this Monday after her performance during No. 1 Wisconsin women's hockey's split series against No. 2 Ohio State.
Wisconsin rebounded against Ohio State in Sunday's game, winning 6-1. Eden had one goal and two assists in the victory. In addition to her offense, Eden was one of UW's most effective players on the penalty-kill. She collected six blocks across the entire series, as OSU went 0-for-5 on the power play in game two.
The Badger Captain won Forward of the Week earlier this year on Dec. 1, following an excellent performance at the SMASHVILLE Showcase in Nashville, Tennessee. Eden is second in the nation among all DI players this season with 56 points. She is one point-shy of tying her previous season-high in points, as she collected 57 points during the 2024-25 season.
Eden is currently at 97 career goals, three away from joining Hilary Knight, Meghan Duggan and Brianna Decker as the only players in program history to score 100+ goals.
The Annapolis-native will be joined by the rest of the Badger crew to play Friday and Saturday, Feb. 13 and 14, in a series against Mankato at the Mayo Clinic Health System Event Center.  Fans can watch the matchup on B1G+ or listen on U100.9 (Friday) and 1070 The Game (Saturday).
