Taylor takes home All-America honors, DMR derailed after interference
FAYETTEVILLE, Ark. – The Wisconsin track and field team opened competition at the 2026 Indoor Championships on Friday, with a strong showing from Taylor Kesner, who delivered a season-best mark in the weight throw to lead the Badgers.
Kesner placed seventh overall with a throw of 73 feet, 7 ½ inches (22.44m), securing her second consecutive first-team All-America honors.
Wisconsin's distance medley relay of Andrew Casey, Jalen Williams, Patrick Hilby and Archie Noakes was unable to finish after being disqualified late in the race. On the final lap, a member of the Virginia Tech relay made contact and knocked the baton out of Noakes' hand, preventing the Badgers from completing what had been a competitive effort throughout the race.
Up Next: Wisconsin opens the outdoor season at the USF Alumni Invitational on March 20-21 in Tampa, Florida. Competition begins at 9 a.m. CT on both days.
