2019 Season
2019 Outdoor: Took 12th in the preliminary round of the 400 meters at the Big Ten Championship (5/10-12) and competed in both the 4x100 and 4x400 meter relays... won the 400 meters with a time of 47.40 and ran the leadoff leg of the winning 4x100 relay that earned an overall time of 41.12 and also anchored the 4x400 relay that finished runner-up with a time of 3:14.20 at the Wisconsin Alumni Classic (5/3) ... ran the 400 meter leg of the winning distance medley relay team that finished with an overall time of 9:47.19 and also competed in the 4x400 meter relay that placed 23rd with an overall time of 42.00 at the Penn Relays (4/26) ... finished fifth in the 200 meters with a personal best time of 21.69 at the Aztec Invitational (3/23)
2019 Indoor: Competing unattached, won the 400 meters with a time of 48.60 at the Red & White Classic (2/15)
2018 Season
2018 Indoor: Ran the 400 meter leg in the distance medley relay in 48.35 seconds to help the team to a sixth place overall finish at the NCAA Indoor Championships (3/9) ... set a new school record in the final heat of the 600 meters with a time of 1:16.64 to place third overall and also helped the Badgers to an 11th place finish in the 4x400 relay with an overall time of 3:13.67 at the Big Ten Indoor Championship (2/23-24) ... ran the 400 meter leg of the distance medley relay in a personal best time of 47.6 seconds to help the team to a third place overall finish, setting a new school record in the process at the Alex Wilson Invitational (2/17) ... placed 17th overall in the 200 meters with a time of 22.45 at the Iowa State Classic (2/9-10) ... ran a season best of 1:18.56 in the 600 meters to take third overall at the Frank Sevigne Husker Invite (2/2-3) ... ran 6.97 in the 60 meters to take 15th overall and took 13th in the 400 meters with a time of 49.31 at the Dr. Sander Invitational (1/26-27) ... took fifth overall in the invite section of the 600 meters with a time of 1:18.87 and won the 400 meters, crossing the line in 48.79 at the Larry Wieczorek Invite (1/19-20) ... was the runner-up in the 600 meters with a time of 1:19.30 and helped the Badgers to a second place finish in the 4x400 with an overall time of 3:26.75 at The Dual (1/13)
2017 Season
2017 Outdoor: Was 23rd in the 400 meters at the Big Ten meet (5/12) with a time of 48.99 ... won the 400 meters at the Wisconsin Alumni Classic (5/5) with a personal-best time of 47.30 ... placed 15th in the 400 meters (49.53) at the John McDonnell Invitational (4/22) ... helped the Badgers take fifth in the 4x100 meter relay at the Jim Click Shootout (4/8) ... finished runner-up in the 400 meters at the UC-Riverside Spring Classic (3/25) with a personal-best time of 47.55 ... placed third in the open 800 meters in 1:55.05 at the Aztec Invite (3/24)
2017 Indoor: Broke the school record in the 600 meters at the Big Ten Championships (2/25) with a run of 1:17.31 while placing fifth ... set a new personal record of 48.14 at the Shell Shocker (2/17) to earn the victory in the 400 meters ... took 12th with a time of 48.30 in the 400 meters at the Iowa State Classic (2/11) ... finished sixth in the 500 meter invitational with a time of 1:04.09 while also helping UW take fourth in the 4x400 meter relay at the Armory Invitational (2/3-4) ... placed second in the Elite 600 meters at the Black and Gold Premier (1/27-28) with a time of 1:19.84 while being a part of the fourth-place Badger 4x400 meter relay team ... took second in the 600 meters (1:19.19) and was a member of the 4x400 meter relay that took second with a time of 3:22.05 at The Dual (1/21) ... finished second in the 400 meters with a time of 49.12 while also helping UW take second in the 4x400 meter relay at the Badger Icebreaker (1/14)
2016 Season
2016 Outdoor: Ran the 400 meters in 48.97 to take 22nd at the Big Ten Championships (5/13-15) and was a member of the 4x400 relay team that took 11th in 3:10.53 ... Competed in the 4x100 and 4x400 relays and finished 23rd in both races at the Drake Relays (4/27-30)... finished 10th in the 400 meters with a time of 49.07 at the John McDonnell Invite (4/23) while also competed in the 4x100 meter relays that finished fourth in 41.35... placed ninth in the 400 meters in 50.07 and 13th in the 800 meters in 1:57.82 at the Aztec Invitational (3/24-26)
2016 Indoor: Helped Wisconsin to a 10th place finish and season best time 3:12.69 in the 4x400 relay at the Big Ten Championship (2/27)... took second in the 400 meters in 48.82 at the Red and White Open (2/19)... finished 21st in the 400 meters posting a time of 48.67 at the
Iowa State Classic (2/13)... took third in the 200 meter prelims with a time of 22.79 and seventh in the 500 meters, finishing in 1:04.43 at the Armory Invitational (2/6) ... competed in the 400 meters and finished third in 48.82 at the Wisconsin vs. Minnesota Dual (1/23)... surged to a first place finish in the 400 meters with a time of 48.93 while also notching a second place finish in the 200 meters with a time of 22.51 at the Wisconsin vs. Notre Dame Dual (1/16)
2015 Season
2015 Outdoor: Helped UW to an eighth place finish in the 4x100 relay with a time of 41.25 and a ninth place finish in the 4x400 relay with a time of 3:12.62, while disqualifying in the preliminary heat of the 400 meters at the Big Ten Championship (5/15-17) ... Finished second in the 200 meters at the Wisconsin Twilight (5/8) with a time of 21.75 ... Competed as part of the 4x100 relay that finished second in sectionals with a time of 41.06, took fourth in the 4x400 sectionals in 3:12.97 and placed ninth in the sprint medley relay in 3:25.91 at the Penn Relays (4/24-25) ... at the LSU Alumni Gold (4/18), finished third in the 400 meters with a time of 47.73 ... in the season debut, finished 16th in the 400 meters with a time of 48.34 at the Stanford Invitational (4/3-4)
2015 Indoor: At the Big Ten Championship (2/27-28) finished fifth in the 400 meters preliminaries (49.00) and competed as part of the 4x400 relay that placed third (3:12.57) and as part of the distance medley relay that took seventh (9:48.47) ... finished second in the 500 meters with a time of 1:20.40 at the Red and White Open (2/20) ... placed 21st in the 200 meters with a personal best of 22.43, finished fourth in the 400 meters with a personal best of 48.63 and competed as part of the 4x400 relay that took fourth in 3:13.88 at the ISU Classic (2/13-14) ... finished 40th in the preliminary round of the 200 meters with a time of 22.79, placed 16th in the 500 meters in 1:05.70 and competed as part of the distance medley realy team that took fourth in 10:06.01 at the Armory Track Invitational (1/30-31) ... at the Wisconsin vs. Minnesota Dual (1/24), placed third in the 400 meters with a time of 49.72 and competed in the 4x400 meter relay finishing second with a time of 3:24.48 ... in his season debut, finished second in the 400 meters with a time of 48.98 and competed as part of the 4x400 meter relay to claim first in 3:24.21 at the Wisconsin Open (1/17)
High School
State champion in 400 meters as a senior with a time of 47.74 and helped Oconomowoc win the 4x400 relay at the 2014 Wisconsin Division I State Championships ... won four Wisconsin Little Ten titles in the 4000 meters ... named him the Most Valuable Senior...as a junior, he participated in the 4x800 meters relay that took third at the Division I State Meet...Ellis was also named Rookie of the Year his freshman year and Most Valuable Sophomore his sophomore year.
Personal
Parents are Kevin and Julie Ellis...has two younger siblings Parker and Sydney...his dad, Kevin, competed for four years in track and field and two years on the football team at Rutgers University in the 80's...majoring in Electrical Engineering.

"I chose Wisconsin because it is my home. It feels so familiar and at the same time new and very impressive. There is no excuse for me to not be successful at this school and that is exactly what I was looking for."
