2019-20: Took first place at the Cougar Clash hosted by SIUE, pinning two of his three opponents ... finished in third at the Midlands Championship with a major decision victory over Illinois's Danny Braunagel ... finished with six technical falls and major decisions, second best on the team ... tied for most pins on the team with six ... had six wins over ranked opponents in the regular season and was never ranked below sixth in the polls ... won over Nebraska's Isaiah White by a 10-6 decision to seal the dual for the Badgers ... qualified for Olympic Team Trials at the Senior National meet ... recorded his fastest pin in 1:07 against Michigan State's Drew Hughes ... did not compete at the 2020 Big Ten Championship ... qualified for the 2020 NCAA Championship with an at-large bid and received the eighth seed in the 165 pound bracket.

2018-19: Finished season with a dominant 32-6 record … went undefeated to take first place at Cyclone Open and SIUE Cougar Clash … posted a 14-1 dual record … went 5-1 at Midlands to take second place, his highest finish yet in that tournament … defeated top-10 opponent Isaiah White of Nebraska three times on the season … recorded seven total wins against ranked opponents … went 3-2 at Big Ten Championships to finish in fourth place and qualify for his second NCAA Tournament in as many seasons as a Badger … earned his second All-America honors by pinning Lock Haven’s Chance Marsteller in the quarterfinals … became the 25th wrestler in Wisconsin program history to earn two All-America honors … finished in fourth place overall at the NCAA Tournament … led the team in total bonus point victories with 21 … recorded four pins, three technical falls, and 14 major decisions on the season.

2017-18: Attained UW’s 112th All-American Honor with a third place finish at 165 pounds in his first NCAA Championships … pinned Lock Haven’s No. 9 Chance Marsteller in 3:20 to take third … Joined former National Champion Andrew Howe as the only Badgers to become All-Americans in their freshman year at 165 pounds … Compiled an impressive 30-7 season slate, going 6-3 in Big Ten duals and 9-3 in dual action overall … lead all attached wrestlers in wins (30), takedowns (102), four-point near-falls (15) quickest pin (:33), technical falls (6), major decisions (7), and win streak (11)… racked up a team-high 11 ranked wins … defeated All-American Logan Massa of Michigan three times, including at the Big Ten and NCAA Championships … dominated Iowa’s No. 6 Alex Marinelli by a 15-3 major decision at the national tournament … took down Minnesota’s No. 12 Nick Wanzek twice, the second time winning by fall to become an All-American … picked up four consecutive ranked wins in his third-place NCAA Championships finish … ranked as high as fourth by The Open Mat and fifth by Intermat and FLOWrestling ...six of seven losses were to opponents ranked in the top seven … Roadrunner Open champion … second at Cliff Keen Las Vegas Invitational … went 4-1 at Big Ten Championships, placing fourth … took third at the Michigan State Open.

2016-17: Led all unattached wrestlers in takedowns (60), four nearfall points (18) and with the fastest fall (0:37) … compiled a 15-3 record … finished fourth at Midlands … tallied four pins, two tech falls and five major decisions … upset two ranked wrestlers at Midlands … went 5-0 at Duhawk Open.

High School: Wick was a standout competitor for San Marino high school ... a two-time California state place winner ... a 2015 Western Regionals champion and 2015 junior Freestyle runner-up ... came in ranked third in the nation at 152 pounds by FloWrestling in his senior season.

Personal: Parents are Bill and Milena … siblings Luka (17), Martin (28) and Zander (21), who also wrestles at UW … major is Rehabilitation Psychology.

What is your best wrestling memory? Winning state with Zander Wick. We were the first twin to win CIF State

What is your favorite thing about Wisconsin wrestling? The coaches optimism
What is something you do before every match? My nervous tick is flicking my fingers together
What is one word that describes this team? Optimism and unity
My favorite thing to do off the mat with my teammates is going to eat after tournaments and team bus rides
What is your most memorable wrestling achievement? State champ with my brother

What is your favorite song to sing in the car? Amber, 311
If you had a completely free day, how would you choose to spend it? I would be in California and I would body surf, fish and eat sushi for 24 hours
If you could have dinner with any three people, dead or alive, who would you choose? Jack black, because he is very funny, Hiyao Miyazaki because he has a very creative mind, Vince Vaughn because he is very personable and I love Swingers and Wedding Crashers
Who is your favorite athlete in any sport? Buvaisar Saitive, three time Olympic Wrestling Champion from Russia
What is your favorite sports team? Flint Tropics
What other sports did you play growing up? Water polo and football
