2018-19 (at SDSU): Sat out the season due to injury
2017-18 (at SDSU): Became first Jackrabbit student-athlete at the Division I level to win an individual national title, ending the season with a 29-1 overall record...of his 29 victories, 12 were by fall and seven by technical fall as he finished third in NCAA Most Dominant standings with average of 4.35 team points per match and was a Hodge Trophy finalist...selected to wrestle in season-opening NWCA All-Star Classic...in first official action of the season, claimed Bison Open title with pins in all three matches...named the Dan Gable Outstanding Wrestler of the 55th Ken Kraft Midlands Championships after winning all six matches by either technical fall or fall en route to 133-pound title...lone loss of the season came in dual against Wyoming in which he moved up to wrestle top-ranked 141-pounder Bryce Meredith...earned Big 12 Conference Wrestler of the Week after closing dual season with 16-0 technical fall over North Dakota State's Cam Sykora...repeated as Big 12 individual champion at 133 pounds, defeating Oklahoma State's Kaid Brock in the championship match, 8-5...defeated Michigan's Stevan Micic in NCAA title bout, 13-8, in rematch of NWCA All-Star Classic matchup
2016-17 (at SDSU): Finished with an NCAA runner-up finish at 133 pounds...led the team in wins, finishing with a 34-2 overall record and going undefeated in dual competition at 17-0...earned bonus points in 30 matches, winning nine by major decision, eight by technical fall and notching a team-best 13 pins ... ended up seventh in the standings among all Division I wrestlers for the NCAA Most Dominant Wrestler Award, averaging 4.35 team points in matches against D-I competition...won title at Warren Williamson/Daktronics Open by winning all four matches — three of which came against University of Minnesota competitors...suffered first loss of the season, an overtime decision to Eric Montoya of Nebraska, in semifinals of Midlands Championships, but won final two matches to post a 6-1 record and third-place finish in two-day tournament...began calendar year with streak of four consecutive pins in dual competition...named Big 12 Wrestler of the Week after knocking off then-No. 2 Kaid Brock of Oklahoma State, 6-4, in dual action...came up with a first-period pin of Oklahoma's Trae Blackwell in final match of dual to pull out a 20-19 Jackrabbit victory...became first Jackrabbit wrestler to win a Big 12 Conference individual title, living up to his top seed by winning all three matches, including a 9-7 victory over Brock in the championship match...also was named Most Outstanding Performer of the 2017 Big 12 Wrestling Championship...entered NCAA Championships as the No. 2 seed at 133 pounds and outscored his first four opponents, including avenging his earlier loss to Montoya, by a 43-4 margin to reach the title bout...dropped a 4-3 decision to Iowa's Cory Clark in the finals, ending a 22-match winning streak...joined 149-pounder Alex Kocer as the first Jackrabbit wrestlers to earn All-America honors in the Division I era
2015-16 (at SDSU): Compiled a 26-14 overall record, including a 12-6 mark in duals, in first season in the Jackrabbit lineup…opened season with runner-up finish at the Warren Williamson/Daktronics Open…hit his stride after the start of the calendar year as he won 11 of 12 matches before falling in the 141-pound title bout at the Big 12 Championship…was one win away from earning All-America honors, going 3-2 at NCAA Championships…following the collegiate season, earned a berth on the USA Junior World Team by winning the 60-kilogram division at the UWW Junior Freestyle World Team Trials
High School: Minnesota high school state champion at three different weight classes: 120 pounds in 2012, 132 as a junior and 138 as a senior…posted a career prep record of 153-15, including a 48-2 mark his senior season…junior national freestyle champion in 2013 at 132 pounds…two-time cadet national freestyle champion, winning titles at 126 pounds in 2012 and 113 pounds in 2011
