Strength & Conditioning - Internship Opportunities
Strength & Conditioning Internship Positions
Program Outline
An internship with the University of Wisconsin Strength & Conditioning program is designed to provide hands-on experience working with Division I student-athletes.
The program allows students to develop the practical skills necessary to pursue a successful career as a collegiate strength and conditioning coach.
Interns must be committed to the field and eager to learn. Each intern is responsible for developing positive rapport with student-athletes while maintaining professionalism with coaches and administrators.
The experience gained during this non-paid internship will include:
- High-volume workload providing realistic professional experience.
- Administrative duties including facility setup, maintenance, and operational support.
- Teaching proper techniques for Olympic lifts, power lifts, mobility, core, and speed development exercises.
- Motivating student-athletes to achieve maximum performance potential.
- Professional development through readings, videos, and structured discussions.
Intern evaluations are based on staff feedback and institutional evaluations (if applicable). Adherence to outlined expectations and engagement in development opportunities will ensure a positive internship experience.
As a staff, we are committed to providing a meaningful experience and expect the same level of dedication in return. Please note seasonal internship deadlines.
