Associate head coach Keith Tiemeyer on Schilling: “Philipp will bring added maturity and experience to our team and our GK corps as he has already achieved his undergraduate degree in Germany. He has been very successful at the club level in Germany, recently winning a league championship this past spring.”

Schilling on why he chose Wisconsin: “I chose Wisconsin, because I can combine a high level in education with a high level in sports,” Schilling said. “It is the perfect mixture for me. From the very first time I spoke to Coach Trask and Coach Tiemeyer, I realized that they know exactly what they are talking about due to their expertise and experience.
“Wisconsin has one of the best athletic departments in the country, which makes it more challenging, but also much more interesting for me. I am looking forward to this great academic and athletic opportunity.”
