Ryan Bright is in his fifth season with the Wisconsin football program in 2022, serving as a defensive analyst after spending three seasons as a graduate assistant with the Badgers’ offense.

Bright joined the Badgers after spending the previous two seasons as quarterbacks coach at St. Norbert College. Prior to that, Bright spent the 2015 season as the tight ends and fullbacks coach at his alma mater, UW-La Crosse, where he earned a degree in history with a minor in economics.

A native of New Glarus, Wisconsin, he played quarterback for one season at UW-Stout before finishing his playing career as a wide receiver and tight end at UW-La Crosse.

As a senior at New Glarus High School, Bright was named Capitol Conference Offensive Player of the Year and invited to the Wisconsin Football Coaches Association All-Star Game. He also played basketball and baseball, earning a total of 10 varsity letters during his high school career.
