Reason for choosing UW-Madison: I grew up a Badger fan, living in Wisconsin and having both my parents go here. The academics are nationally renown, and the college town feel of campus is hard to match. It also allowed me to pursue athletics at the collegiate level.

What Wisconsin Rowing means to Breck: What Wisconsin Rowing means to me is to put the work in when nobody is watching. Rowing is not a glamorous sport, though it’s as hard and unforgiving as any other. You do the sport because you love it. Nobody is making you show up every day. There’s no fame or fortune. What there is is the opportunity to wear the W with pride and to improve yourself as a person and as a Badger.
