PRIOR TO WISCONSIN
Luke van Heukelum joins Wisconsin after spending three seasons with the Maryland men’s soccer team. During his time with the Terps the junior played in 43 games, scoring 10 goals and earning seven assists. In 2023 he earned the Big Ten Freshman of the Week Award. Prior to playing collegiate soccer van Heukelum played for Sockers FC, captaining his club teams from U13-U19 and earning numerous awards including the 2022 United Soccer Coaches All-American, 2022 U17 MLS Next All-Star Team, MLS Next U16 Golden Boot Winner, and the Capelli Cup USA All-star team in both 2021 and 2022. The striker also has international experience interning with AZ Alkmaar and FC Utrecht in 2022.
