Zane Chapman is beginning his first season as a volunteer assistant track and field coach at the University of Wisconsin.
Prior to coming to Wisconsin, Chapman was a volunteer assistant coach at Eastern Illinois University in 2015-2016.
Hailing from Mattoon, Illinois, Chapman competed collegiately at Eastern Illinois from 2012-2015 where he participated in both indoor and outdoor seasons. He was a fixture in both of the indoor throws events and competed in all four outdoor throws events in the Ohio Valley Conference. During his senior year, Chapman scored points in the discus, hammer throw and shot put as he helped his team win the OVC Outdoor Championship. He graduated from Eastern Illinois with a degree in exercise science.
