2016-17: Rowed to a first-place finish at the Knecht Cup with the novice eight (April 9) … raced four seat in the novice eight that placed second in three races at Grand Valley State University (April 23) … raced in the four seat with the third lightweight eight that placed second at the Eastern Sprints (April 30) … rowed three seat for lightweight eight that placed sixth at the 2016 Head of the Rock (Oct. 9)
High School: Four year member of the gymnastics team … four-time varsity letter recipient … elected 2016 team captain … earned North East Wisconsin Sports Award … awarded 2016 Gymnast of the Year … acknowledged as the 2015 Comeback Athlete of the Year
Personal: Parents are Sue and Jim DeZeeuw … has one sister, Laura, and one brother Michael … intended major is genetics
