    Volunteer Assistant Coach
Megan Campbell, a former All-American at the University of Dayton, is in her second season as the Badgers' volunteer assistant coach.

“Megan was one of the most competitive and coachable players I've ever worked with,” Sheffield said. “On the court, she was all about two things - winning and trying to get better. She comes from a great family who values the right things and has absolutely no fear of hard work.

“She left a great job as a teacher and high school/club coach in order to pursue her passion. I was so excited when she committed to be a Flyer and I am just as excited that she's going to be starting her college coaching career here as a Badger.”

Campbell earned third-team American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) All-America honors as a sophomore and honorable mention All-America honors as a junior with the Flyers. The 6-1 middle blocker was a three-time Atlantic 10 Conference first-team all-conference selection and two-time A-10 All-Championship team member. Campbell was a three-time conference offensive player of the week and six-time defensive player of the week. A five-time all-tournament pick, Campbell was also a three-time Academic All-Conference honoree.

Campbell ended her career with the Flyers ranking fifth all-time in blocks with 445 and third in career hitting percentage at .372. She averaged 2.58 kills and 1.20 blocks per set over her career.

A native of Versailles, Ohio, Campbell had career match highs of 19 kills and 11 blocks. Campbell played for UW head coach Kelly Sheffield for three seasons, earning team MVP honors in 2013 while earning the Flyers’ Bring It! Award three-straight years.

“I’m so grateful for this opportunity to work with one of the top volleyball programs in the country and to work with one of the best and hardest working coaching staffs in the country,” Campbell said. “I’m really excited to get started with my college coaching career as a Badger.”

Campbell graduated from Dayton in 2014 with a degree in mathematics. She spent one year as a math teacher at Franklin Monroe High School in Arcanum, Ohio, while also serving as the head girls’ volleyball at Marion Local High School in Maria Stein, Ohio. Campbell also coached a 14’s club team with Grandlake Volleyball Club.
