Bianca Miceli was named Assistant Director of NIL and Community Outreach in August 2022.
Miceli is responsible for finding creative and innovative ways for Wisconsin student-athletes to develop their personal brands in the NIL space and leads communications strategy for the Badgers Give Back program’s engagement efforts with current and prospective community partners.
A member of UW’s NIL education working group beginning in 2020, Miceli played an important role in the initial development of Wisconsin's holistic NIL program, YouDub, in June of 2021 and has since served as a valued resource for student-athletes navigating the evolving NIL space.
Coordinating with staff from the career and leadership, brand engagement and compliance units, she oversees the development and execution of NIL-related educational programming for student-athletes through the YouDub program.
Miceli has served in several roles since joining Wisconsin Athletics in 2014, most recently as Brand Manager for the national champion UW volleyball program. Working closely with the volleyball, marketing and creative services staffs, Miceli led the development of the program’s external communications strategy and worked to elevate its presence in the digital media space. Her efforts coincided with three consecutive Big Ten championships from 2019-21 and the program’s first national championship.
Beyond her strategic role, Miceli was responsible for running the volleyball program’s social media channels and producing premium video content, including six seasons of the behind-the-scenes access series “Driven.”
Miceli was recognized for her outstanding work by the American Volleyball Coaches Association, which presented Miceli its annual Grant Burger Media Award for social media in 2021.
A native of Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin, Miceli graduated from UW with a double major in communication arts and Italian in 2014. Along with her two degrees, she also obtained a certificate in digital studies. As a student, Miceli worked two years with UW Athletics as a coaching video assistant. Her student experience included assisting the coaching video staff for football and developing creative content for Olympic sports programs.
