Head Coach Kelly Sheffield on Clark: "Tiffany is the ultimate competitor – everything matters. She is locked in during practices and is extremely resilient in matches. She has such a high motor and just loves playing the game. Tiffany’s been trained well and is coming in with a lot of experience in playing in the Big Ten and as the starting libero for the USA Junior National Team. She makes our already good backcourt even deeper and better. She didn’t waste any time getting on campus and I know players are already enjoying having her in the gym.”
Why Wisconsin?
"Here is a place where I can compete freely; where I have the ability to bring my best every day; a place that challenges me to love the process of becoming better. All of these are applicable not only to volleyball but to every aspect of life. I knew the University of Wisconsin and, more specifically, the Badger volleyball program was something truly special the moment I stepped foot on campus."

Off the court with Tiffany
First started volleyball: Age 11… Mom dragged me, kicking and screaming, into a Sports Performance tryouts. I was wearing my basketball high tops and soccer shorts while everyone else in the gym wore their matching shirts and spandex. I was scolded for marking up the floor with my shoes.
The best part of playing volleyball is: The thrill of competition, the ability to just let loose and chase something you want so badly.
One phrase that describes the team: “On the hunt”
One word that describes me: Fierce
What is the best thing you bring to the team? Fiery passion and discipline
Favorite thing to do off the court with my teammates is: watching The Office or Friends with Syd in our living room
Dream as a collegiate player: National Championship and All-American
Post-college plans/goals: Play professionally in France somewhere, perhaps go to Law School after my pro career is over for an Environmental Law degree. I would like to start my own environmental conservation business, (I have a million-dollar idea, talk to me for details). I might get into politics and get things done.
Fantasy job/career: DJ, President
Person most admired/role models: My sister, Amanda. She is my best friend, my role model, and my inspiration. I grew up watching her dominate on the soccer field, cheering her on from the sidelines. Now she is my biggest cheerleader.
I can’t live without: My teammates
Nobody knows how much I love to: dance and speak in public.
If I had a million dollars, I would: begin funding my million-dollar idea, (Shark Tank here I come!!!).
How would you like to change the world? I want to change the vernacular on climate change. This isn’t climate change; this will be a climate disaster. We need urgency. We need people to stop being so polarized in ideologies and begin to clean up the damage we have made to the only home we know. I will begin by buying large areas of land for ecological restoration and protection from outside interests, (logging, agriculture, grazing, etc.), in an effort to preserve the last remaining “untouched” human landscapes from destruction. These landscapes are what made America so beautiful that our ancestors had to write a song about it.
My bucket list includes: visit all the national parks in the USA, compete in the CrossFit Games, buy a tiny home or a camper and live in it while traveling the country, go to Scotland, backpack across Europe, learn how to juggle, get a tattoo, adopt a rescue dog, own a horse ranch, become fluent in another language, camp under the stars and learn how to scuba dive.
My favorite saying or a phrase I use all the time is: “Bummer”
What makes you laugh? Anything that comes out of Shanny’s mouth.
What did you want to be when you were 10 years old? Professional soccer player.
What kinds of things do you like to cook or are good at cooking? I am great at grilling peaches for a Cinnamon Peach with Dairy-Free yogurt dessert.
What causes do you care about? Our Earth! Everyone should care about the health of the planet we live on.
What does it mean to be a Badger?
"Badgers are competitive. They never miss and opportunity to compete. They stare their enemy in the eyes until they are the first ones to blink. They believe in their abilities. They persevere through hard times, and celebrate the good times. They take failure as a learning opportunity. They are never satisfied. They are constantly trying to become the best version of themselves. They respect their teammates. They hold others and themselves accountable. They embrace the grind."
