Why did you choose Wisconsin? I chose Wisconsin because of the tradition of combined academic and athletic excellence. I know that I will not be competing forever, and Wisconsin is a school that helps me to succeed on and off the mat
How did you spend your summer? I spent most of my summer on crutches from having surgery on each of my hips. When I was off, I did a lot of fishing, working out, and working at my internship with Northwestern Mutual.
Where is your go-to study spot? Crescendo Coffee on Monroe Street
What is your major? Personal Finance with an emphasis in financial planning
What are your post-college plans? Post college, I am planning to go full time with Northwestern Mutual and continue building my financial planning practice
Who is your favorite school to wrestle against? I always enjoy wrestling Big 10 schools. There is always a nice crowd in The House with great wrestling.
What is your best wrestling memory? My best memory is after winning mt fourth state title. It was such a surreal experience having the entire Kohl Center on their feet clapping for me.
Where is your favorite place to wrestle? At home, keeping my younger brother in line.
When did you begin wrestling? I started wrestling when I was three years old after watching come of my dad’s high school wrestling videos
What is your favorite thing about Wisconsin wrestling? I love the energy and passion surrounding our program. Fans are excited about Wisconsin wrestling, and that gets me excited and pushes me to improve constantly.
What is something you do before every match? I always take time to pray before each of my matches
What is one word that describes this team? Brothers
My teammates say that I am a businessman
My favorite thing to do off the mat with my teammates is going fishing
What is your most memorable wrestling achievement? Winning four high school state titles
What is your dream as a collegiate wrestler? My dream is to be an exciting competitor and to win an NCAA title
Does the team have a nickname for you? The Wolf (Wolf of Wall Street reference)
If you would switch places with anyone on the team for a day, who would you pick and why? Tristan. That dude is something else, and I want to know what goes through his mind sometimes. I’d also like to whip up a mighty tasty dinner
What is your favorite song to sing in the car? Reckless Love by Cory Asbury
If you had a completely free day, how would you choose to spend it? I would wake up around 8, go out for coffee, then head to the trout stream with Jared and fish until we got sick of it and head home and grab dinner somewhere
If you could have dinner with any three people, dead or alive, who would you choose? Jesus, Eli Stickley, my late, great uncle Teddy
