UW Falls to Georgia 33-6 in Outback Bowl

A potent offense and suffocating defense were on display in Georgia's 33-6 win over the Badgers in the 1998 Outback Bowl.

Buoyed by a game MVP performance from Bulldog QB Mike Bobo (26-of-28 passing for 235 yards), the Bulldogs scored the game's first 33 points. UGA completed 89.7 percent of its passes, the best-ever
mark vs. a Badger defense.

A 12-yard pass from back-up quarterback Scott Kavanagh to tight end Dague Retzlaff was the Badgers' lone tally.

In a game that featured two of the nation's best runners' 'Wisconsin's Ron Dayne and Georgia's Robert Edwards''the Bulldog ballcarrier was the most effective. Edwards rushed for 110 yards and, more importantly, scored three TDs.
