Women's Hockey Stays No. 4

The Wisconsin women's hockey team (2-0-0 overall, 2-0-0 WCHA) remains ranked No. 4 in the nation in the latest USA Today/American Hockey Magazine Poll released Tuesday. The Badgers swept St. Cloud State on the road this past weekend.
Wisconsin grabbed seven more points than last week and have 88 points in the voting. Minnesota-Duluth kept all 13 first-place votes after sweeping No. 8 Providence this past weekend and have 130 points. Dartmouth, with 112 points, and St. Lawrence, with 103 points, rank second and third, respectively.
The fifth annual USA Today/American Hockey Magazine Women's College Hockey Poll is conducted each week in conjunction with the American Hockey Coaches Association. The poll includes input from women's college ice hockey coaches and journalists, as well as composite votes from officers of the American Hockey Coaches Association and American Hockey Magazine, the official publication of USA Hockey.
Wisconsin opens its home schedule this weekend at the Kohl Center when Connecticut (0-0-0) visits. The Saturday and Sunday games begin 2:35 p.m. Skate with the Badgers follows Sunday's contest. Fans must bring skates to participate.
