Men's Swimming Relay Holds Nation's Best Time

The Wisconsin men's swimming team currently holds the nation's best time in the 200 medley relay, according to Taper and Shave Magazine.
The team, comprised of senior co-captains Brendan Coyne and Lance Jones, sophomore Matt Marshall and sophomore Dale Rogers, swam the top time of 1:29.49 on Nov. 2 at the Arizona Triangular in Tucson, Ariz. Minnesota ranks second (1:29.61) behind the Badgers, while Texas ranks third (1:29.84).
All four members of the relay team also hold individual times that rank in the nation's top five. Jones ranks second in the 100 breaststroke (:55.69), Coyne ranks third in the 100 butterfly (48.93), Marshall is fourth in the 100 butterfly (49.11), and Rogers ranks fourth in the 50 free (:20.59).
The 200 free relay team of Marshall, Jones, Coyne and Rogers holds the third best time in the nation (1:22.29) behind Tennessee (1:21.56) and Arizona State (1:21.87). The 200 free relay time was also set at the Arizona Triangular.
The Wisconsin men's and women's swimming and diving teams are in action this weekend at the Minnesota Invitational in Minneapolis.
