Women's Hockey Stays In Polls

The Wisconsin women's hockey team (6-5-2 overall, 5-2-1 WCHA) dropped one spot each in the USA Today/American Hockey Magazine Poll and U.S. College Hockey Online Poll, ranking ninth and 10th, respectively.
The Badgers were shutout, 1-0, by No. 8 St. Lawrence at the Thanksgiving Tournament in Lake Placid, N.Y. The Saints had been ranked No. 7, but dropped one spot in both polls.
Minnesota-Duluth ranks first in both polls as it has all season, earning all first-place votes. New Hampshire jumped up one spot to No. 2 after defeating St. Cloud State and tying Minnesota. Dartmouth dropped to third after losing to Minnesota, who climbed from sixth to fourth with a win and tie.
Ohio State entered the USA Today/American Hockey Magazine Poll at No. 10 after losing and tying No. 1 Minnesota-Duluth.
The Badgers play host to No. 4 Minnesota this weekend at Capitol Ice Arena in Middleton, Wis., their fourth and fifth straight games against a ranked opponent. Wisconsin currently sits one point behind Minnesota in the WCHA standings. The Gophers have 12 points, while the Badgers have 11.
