Three More Badgers Drafted

Three more former Wisconsin football players have joined first-round draft choice Wendell Bryant as Badgers who had their names called during the 2002 NFL Draft.
Defensive back Mike Echols, linebacker Nick Greisen and tight end Mark Anelli all were selected in rounds 4-7 during the draft's second day on Sunday.
Echols, a 2001 first-team all-Big Ten selection and the UW's all-time leader in pass breakups with 62, went in the fourth round (No. 110 overall) to Tennessee. Greisen, also a first-team all-conference choice last season and the nation 's leader in tackles with 167, joins the New York Giants (fifth round, No. 152 overall). Anelli, the UW's first first-team all-Big Ten tight end since 1993, went in the sixth round (201st overall) to the San Francisco 49ers.
Bryant was the first-round (12th overall) choice of the Arizona Cardinals on Saturday.
