The Badgers Take In Nashville
December 29, 2003 | Football
Wisconsin's football team arrived here Saturday afternoon and has spent the past 48 hours taking in the sights of Nashville and the Opryland Hotel, as well as conducting its first on-site practice Sunday afternoon.
The Badgers checked into the Opryland Hotel Saturday afternoon following a flight of a little more than an hour from Madison. The players and staff had Saturday evening to discover what the city, as well as the huge hotel property, have to offer.
Coach Alvarez's charges then held their first practice here on Sunday afternoon. Coincidentally, the two-hour workout took place at Goodpasture High School in Madison, Tenn.
The entire travel party finished off the Sunday itinerary with a welcome party held for both schools at the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum in downtown Nashville.
The Badgers held their second practice of the trip late Monday morning at the Tennessee Titans' indoor facility. Former Badger Mike Echols stopped by to greet the Badgers and wish them well in the game against Auburn.
