Badgers to Face Auburn

Representatives of the Gaylord Hotels Music City Bowl announced Sunday that Auburn (7-5) will be the Badgers' opponent in the New Year's Eve game in Nashville.
It will mark just the ninth time Wisconsin will have faced a Southeastern Conference opponent. UW has played the Tigers just once, a 7-7 tie in 1931.
'We are pleased and honored to announce the Auburn Tigers as our SEC representative,' said Joe Kelley, chairman of the Bowl. Added Kelley, 'An Auburn and Wisconsin match-up, two traditional powerhouses, is exciting and should make for a great game.'
The game will be played on Dec. 31 at the Coliseum in Nashville. Kickoff is set for 11 a.m. CST. ESPN will televise the game live.
