Three More Badgers Drafted
April 27, 2003 | Football
Three former Wisconsin football players were selected in the NFL Draft on Sunday.
Defensive back B.J. Tucker, quarterback Brooks Bollinger and offensive lineman Ben Johnson brought Wisconsin's total to four draftees for 2003. Tucker (Dallas Cowboys) and Bollinger (New York Jets) both were sixth round picks. Johnson went to the Detroit Lions in the seventh round. Center Al Johnson was a second round choice on Saturday.
All four players will leave later this week for mini-camps with their respective teams.
Bollinger is the first Wisconsin quarterback to be selected in the NFL Draft since Bud Keyes was chosen in the 10th round by the Packers in 1988.
