Starks Voted Team MVP

Senior defensive back Scott Starks earned Wisconsin's Jimmy Demetral MVP Award to highlight the 2004 Badger football banquet at the Marriott West Hotel in Middleton Friday night.
Starks was voted by his teammates as the Badgers' MVP.

Scout Team Offense Player of the Year: QB Craig Meier
Scout Team Defensive Player of the Year: LB Nick Sutton
Co-Rookie of the Year: LB Andy Crooks and DL Jamal Cooper
Special Teams Award: P Ken DeBauche
Ivan B. Williamson Scholastic Award: DB Jim Leonhard
Tom Wiesner Award: DB Zach Hampton
Jay Seiler Coaches Appreciation Award: Erasmus James
Wayne Souza Coaches Appreciation Award: Dan Buenning
The Captains' Cup: Assoc. AD John Chadima
WKOW-TV sports director Jay Wilson served as emcee for the event that annually caps the Wisconsin football program's regular season.
The Badgers begin practice on Saturday in preparation for their Jan. 1 meeting with Georgia in the Outback Bowl.
