
Senior Starters Earn MVP Honors at Banquet

The University of Wisconsin football team's senior starters were named MVPs as the Badgers celebrated their annual senior banquet at the Marriott West Hotel Friday night.
QB John Stocco and OL Joe Thomas were named offensive MVPs, while DE Joe Monty, safeties Roderick Rogers and Joe Stellmacher and LB Mark Zalewski earned defensive MVP recognition.
The other awards and their winners are as follows:
- Scout Team Offense Player of the Year: Jerry Butler
- Scout Team Defense Player of the Year: Kirk DeCremer
- Ivan B. Williamson Scholastic Award: Luke Swan
- Badger Power: Ben Strickland
- Wayne Souza Coaches' Appreciation Award: Travis Beckum
- Jay Seiler Coaches' Appreciation Award: Allen Langford
- Tom Wiesner Award: Andy Crooks
- Special Teams Award: Taylor Mehlhaff
- The Captains' Cup: Jim Kalscheur
Matt Lepay, the Voice of the Badgers, served as the master of ceremonies.
