
NCAA Cross Country Championship Live on CSTV

The 2007 NCAA Cross Country Championships will be broadcast live on CSTV on Monday. The races will also air live on the CSTV Web site at www.cstv.com . The men's 10,000-meter race begins at 11 a.m. CT while the women's 6,000-meter race begins at 11:55 a.m. CT. Both races will be run on the LaVern Gibson Championship Course in Terre Haute, Ind.
CSTV is widely available on cable systems across the country, including Comcast, Time Warner, Cox, Cablevision, Charter, Insight, Bright House Networks, Mediacom, Insight, RCN, Advanced Cable and Bresnan. It is also available on DIRECTV's Total Choice Premier Package Channel 610 and DISH Network's America's Top 120 Package Channel 152.
Wisconsin will send its fifth-ranked men's team and 21st-ranked women 's team to the national meet. The Badger men are making their 36th consecutive trip to the NCAA championship. Wisconsin is the only school to qualify for all national meets since regional qualifying began in 1972. The UW looks to improve upon its second place-finish from last season, when they scored 142 points to finish 48 points behind champion Colorado. Wisconsin returns five of its top-seven runners from last season, including All-Americans Stu Eagon (11th) and Matt Withrow (24th).
The Badger women received an at-large berth to the NCAA championship after finishing third at the NCAA Great Lakes Regional. Wisconsin is making its 21st NCAA appearance as a team and has registered 18 top-10 finishes. Last season, Wisconsin earned its first trophy since 1999 as the team scored 262 points to place fourth at the championships. The UW will be led by sophomore Hanna Grinaker, who earned All-America honors as a true freshman last season with her 13th-place finish.
