September 24, 2007 | Football
For the second-straight week, a Badger has been named the Big Ten Special Teams Player of the Week. After his performance against Iowa, punter Ken DeBauche, was awarded the weekly honor, the third of his career.
DeBauche's award was the third this season for the Badgers after QB Tyler Donovan was named co-Offensive Player of the Week (9/3/07) and David Gilreath was named Special Teams Player of the Week (9/17/07).
The senior captain who was recently named to the Ray Guy Award Watch List punted eight times averaging 47.6 yards per punt. He kicked a long of 58 yards, one short of his career long (59), and pinned the Hawkeyes inside the 20-yard line twice, including downing one on the Iowa 1-yard line.
