
Badgers run over Indiana, 55-20

BLOOMINGTON, Ind.--Wisconsin piled up a Memorial Stadium record-tying 441 rushing yards and tied a school record with seven rushing touchdowns in a 55-20 dismantling of the Hoosiers Saturday afternoon.
WR David Gilreath (168 yards and two TDs)and RBs P.J. Hill (126 yards and three TDs) and John Clay (112 yards and one TD) led the ground onslaught and gave the Badgers three players with more than 100 yards rushing.
The Badgers outgained the Hoosiers 601-274 in total offense as they broke open a game they led just 24-20 at halftime. The Badger defense stiffened in the second half, holding Indiana to just 53 yards in total offense after the break. Wisconsin, on the other hand, accumulated 321 yards in total offense, highlighted by Gilreath's 90-yard touchdown run in the third quarter. The run was the second-longest in school history.
Philip Welch added a pair of field goals for the Badgers, who improved to 5-5 for the season, including 2-5 in Big Ten play.
