
Night moves: Badgers topple Fresno State

FRESNO, Calif. The 10th-ranked Wisconsin football team earned a big non-conference win Saturday night with a 13-10 decision over 21st-ranked Fresno State at Bulldog Stadium in Fresno, Calif.
The win moves the Badgers to 3-0 for the season. They are off next week before heading to Michigan on Sept. 27 for the start of the Big Ten Conference season.
The Badgers and Bulldogs slugged it out for four quarters. UW got a 2-yard touchdown pass from Allan Evridge to Garrett Graham in the first quarter to move ahead 7-0. The Badgers held a 10-0 lead at the half after Philip Welch converted a 38-yard field goal in the second quarter. Welch added the game-winning 23-yard field goal in the third quarter after the Bulldogs had cut the UW lead to 10-7. Fresno State tacked on a late-third-quarter field goal, as well.
