4. When was the last time you were in Madison'
I was in Madison on Saturday, Feb. 14 for ESPN College GameDay sponsored by State Farm and the UW Alumni Reception during the Ohio State game. I saw many former coaches and teammates. Before the filming of College GameDay I saw Coach Ryan and Director of Basketball Operations Joe Robinson. I was at the Nitty Gritty during the afternoon and said hello to Coach Greg Gard too. During the UW Alumni reception I met up with a few of my former teammates, such as Roy Boone, Clayton Hanson and Andreas Helmigk.
5. Which former teammates do you still keep in touch with'
I played some b-ball with Andreas Helmigk and Clayton Hanson last week in a local tournament here in the Fox Valley. I touch base with Charlie Wills every now and then, as well as Kirk Penney. I also attended the "Love of the Game" Golf Outing this past year for Coach Ryan's former players and met up with many of my former teammates.
6. What do you miss most about Madison'
I miss the playing in the games. There is no environment like playing in the Kohl Center in front of the best fans in college basketball!
7. What is your greatest memory as a member of the Badger men's basketball team'
There are a lot of great memories that I have, such as being a part of some great teams that won back to back Big Ten Conference championships and winning the Big Ten Tournament. I had the privilege of playing with some outstanding basketball players such as Mike Kelley, Kirk Penney, Mike Wilkinson, Devin Harris and Alando Tucker. I had some great personal moments such as scoring some key baskets against No.6 ranked Illinois my sophomore year during Big Ten conference play, dunking on former Iowa Hawkeye, now NBA player Reggie Evans. However, the greatest memory is being a part of the NCAA final four run.
8. If you continued to play ball professionally, where and for which team'
My YMCA basketball team is doing ok. Does that count'
9. If you aren't playing, are you still affiliated with basketball in some way (coaching, etc.)'
I coach at a local high school part time. I also sponsor a half time show at a local high school. I play in some local leagues and tournaments as well.
10. Anything else you'd like to say to Badger fans'
Playing for the Badgers was one of the greatest experiences in my short lifetime thanks to many people, but in particular, my experience was great because of the best fans in college basketball! Go Badgers!
